rear hub

Default rear hub

iv had two studs shered off my rear hub (wheel nearly fell off) will i be able to replace the studs or do i need to replace the whole hub,thanks

You can replace the studs but to do it properly the hub will have to be split.

the studs are pressed in from the back. You have to pop the ball joints to take the hub off. The old lugs have to be pressed out and new ones pressed in. You cannot hammer them. I did all four of mine to go to longer studs. You also have to press out the bearing and put a new bearing in. You need a 30 ton press.

thanks just had a look on ebay any idea what lenth they are ?

Do not buy cheap ebay studs. You life depends on it. Get ARP studs. Getting everything and off costs the money. Do buy a spare hub either, no need for it. If read the thread to Rob Robinette you know all that.
