OT it might take awhile, i imported mine from Japan and at nearly 8 years old it was rust free and had average mileage with a few scrapes. It now has less scrapes (buffed out) but more chips, more mileage, two very small dents, small bit of surface rust underneath and is 16 years old. Id replace it with a younger car but i've seen nothing here in Ireland better and Japans prices have gotten stronger since i imported the last one. You'll eventually find one, i've brought jacks with me when buying cars and asked for it to be put on a ramp. Buy one of those little inspection camera attachments for your phone if you want to check for inner arch rust

As a serious point, and I know a lot of people do, but I was not fond of the S as a daily commuter. That's assuming you're travelling over 20 miles each way. It's tough on the back and a little cramped.

Good to know and only something you must find out once used in that scenario... I'm pretty adamant that my daily commute will not exceed 10 miles each way. I'm not chasing the $ so will take less money for more quality time with the family! hopefully it will be ok over that short distance although saying that travelling 1 mile in traffic can take hours - doh

The UK marker is tiny compared to North America and folks here have looked for months to find the right car. Make a priority list and it will create a short list of cars. I wanted a DBW car as they can be tuned without an aftermarket ECU for significant mid-range power with FlashPro. That immediately limited me to MY06 and newer. Mileage and condition priorities further limited the choices. Color was not on my list but may be on yours and may severely limit your choices based on other criteria.

If you're going to bugger the car by lowering it (for example), etc, much of this is not important.
