Default Speaker not working drivers side

Hi Guys, My driver side door speaker has stopped working tonight. would this be the speaker or the stereo. I have tweeter in the windscreen which is working. is this an easy job.

What do I check first before a dismantle of anything?

probably just a loose wire going into the speaker (hopefully). may have come loose with an enthusiastic closing of the door.

Spooky, had exactly the same thing happen to mine 2 days ago!!!

Sound of the car is so good I don't miss the 'stereo' anyway.

I've got my door panels off at the moment to replace the mirrors. I'm going to check if it woud be easy to replace the oems with some better ones I have hanging around. If it is, you can have one of my oems. And Jinjer - you can have the other one. But this depends on how easy it is to swap the replacements over and I'll let you know later.

The cards are easy to remove and the speaker easily accessible.

I suspect that mine is just a loose connection.

That's known as a bird strike, technically.

Honda use locking clips to hold the wires onto their speakers. This must be removed to fit aftermarket ones, so bang goes the reliability.

The other likely reason is that the constant opening & closing of the driver's door fatigues the wires eventually. They can be a sod to replace.
