Speeding again!!!
Looks like Plod was busy today. While out and about this afternoon (on the road from the Shell station in Balsall Common, going towards Warwick, which will be known to those of you who went for fuel on the Midlands Meet - but not Hoggy
), we spotted at various stages along the road in the space of about a mile:
2 marked Dibblemobiles pulled off to one side of the road, with 5-6 Dibbles accompanying them;
2 Dibbles-on-motorbikes, lurking in a junction waiting to pounce;
1 non-descript unmarked red people carrier parked up in a layby with the tailgate up and a camera pointing out designed to catch anyone who didn't spot it until as they passed
; and
1 "Safety Partnership" camera van
I made a point of flashing all the traffic coming the other way to warn them as they approached and then slowed down very obviously as we passed the camera van and waved at the operator
The unmarked MPV parked the wrong way round really was really out of order.

I think that most police forces use the 10% plus 2 mph rule most but they are allowed to do you when you are doing 10% more so 33 in a 30 is possible at least this is what the a head traffic cop siad from Avon and Somerset.

I am not sure if this is true, but I have been informed that the police can succesfully 'do' you for speeding if you are going 10% over the speed limit +2mph...
