Bit of an update, my insurance have come back with a decent offer, I haven't accepted yet going to wait till next week.

Im not sure how the laws work with buying back cars from insurance but they have given me the option to but it back for £600, i think that cost includes delivery to wherever i want aswell. Ive got a garage was just going to put it in, clean up the glass take the windscreen out and see it she still runs i should be able to get it moving with the spare wheel.

If its illegal to keep it in a garage then of course ill just take the money and move on, ill find out more next week.

engine is worth a few hundred quid even if it was seized.

iv'e got AE's S2000 to break. I just want the engine and gearbox and will concider letting the rest go for a reasonable price.

has years MOT but is a little tatty. got a few extras on it though.

glad your OK, just a thought if your engine was fine and you want a new home for it.

Glad you both walked away to tell the tale; these cars are really strong, but as I've said before, there but for the grace of fate go us all and all that!

Take the cash and leave the car to be broken by someone else, selling parts a pain in the arse and you'l end up with a big pile of bits left that you can't sell. Good luck with finding another one.

im not interested in selling it i think im going to just take the money and start again as most people have suggested.

Agreed with the leave it and move on. I broke a car once. PITA once you get to a stage. Just became a scrap heap shell sat on my drive. Was lucky to get a guy to collect the shell for scrap for free. Was looking at having to pay £80 to get a local scrappy to collect.
