Vented bonnet and respray questions

So the general opinion is that vented bonnets are really crap lol

That's probably why they are rarely fitted as OEM

I wouldn't say so.

Anything which reduces IAT is worthwhile. It's might only be small figures but they add up.

My theory behind honda not installing vents as oem is that no other manufacturers were doing it at the time and in typical jap style the design was lifted from elsewhere.

If anyone can shed light then great.

No vents because they are unnecessary on a road car, plus things are built to a cost.

Vented bonnets have a function,my car is turbocharged and produces a lot of heat,so a big mouth and a vented bonnet allow a lot of air to move through it which is what's needed,I would lose the bonnet in the blink of an eye if I thought the car would manage without it.

That's my point, it's a totally functional mod. You have to offset the.hassle with the benefit. I'm keeping mine for track only and using oem the rest of the time now.
