One has not had wages since he served on the fish counter at MacFisheries in Croydon.
So where was the shop scov, I'm intrigued?

We are talking 1974 ish! This might also explain why an old fogie like me prefers a planted 04 to a skittish pre 04.

I traded because I got a secondhand one first to try out - I didn't want to risk depreciation on a new car that I couldn't live with. As it is I traded in for a smidgen less than I bought it for.
I'm new to driving and I wanted a car that would give me a steep learning curve - rear wheel drive, no traction control, LSD, six gears. And a car that wasn't a common sight.
And I cover 2000 miles a month commuting. I'd love a TVR or something similar, but I'm no mechanic and I need reliability for my commute. Add all this up and there was only one option - all that and I haven't had to compromise - it's a beautiful looking car andd great fun to drive!

I was staring at T350Cs on Pistronheads classified last night with a mate - had to remind myself of the cost of my recent mods and give it another 12 months before considering whether to change.
Parked alongside the array of Elises', TVRs' and the Noble that turned up my car looked very normal.
I'm off to Hexham on Saturday, just for a look of course...
Unless my situation changes drastically then a TVR will definitely be my next car.

Have many people changed from an '02 to an '04 and found that the handling is better......

Like Mark I have a little regret that I suckered myself into buying the same car twice and would urge enthusiasts doing the same to take a step back and think about it. I now see it as possibly a wasted year or so of experiencing what the automotive world has to offer, but that regret is nothing to do with the car itself which, as Scov says is much better than my 01 model in many ways.

I will be buying a flat soon so change of car won't be on the agenda for a while yet....

I did. The '04 feels more sure-footed in the corners and generally more "planted" than the '02 did.

There is a Mugen roll bar tweak that will improve matters however.
I would never contemplate buying a pre 02 having driven the later cars.
I must get back to work.
