You might have to run the pump with the reservoir filled with warm water a couple of times too, before it works properly.
Top tip - get some home brew cleaner/sterilizer that will kill the mildew and clean the crud out put a litre or so in the washer bottle, drive the car forward and backward a few feet with heavy braking to slosh it around.

As jsh said the jazz washers aren't colour coded, I've got a silverstone so black will go OK.

Is Milton 2 safe on paint? It's a mild hypochlorite bleach.

But it sounds like a plan.

Why is it a fill up of this reservoir seems to last forever ? Mile after mile I think I may fill up the reservoir twice a year maybe!

Should be fine, just give it a good rinse down afterwards, at the very worst you may have to give the bonnet a coat of wax.

I've had the same in two S2000's - both times it was the inline valves which sit just before the L bend leading to the jets (under the bonnet).

Can pick them up Halfords for less than a couple of quid each:

Be careful though - I've bought a total of 4, and 2 of those didn't work, so a bit of trail and error may be in order (and keep the receipt if you need to swap em!)

If you have access to an airline, pull the hoses off from the washer jets and blow down them as they may have picked up dirt from the bottom of the washer tank.

Thanks for all the advice.

Stripped down the hoses and the jets and gave them a good clean which seems to have sorted it out. The metal ball bearing at the end of the passenger hose was stuck in the closed position. I think this is something that will happen again so will just need to keep an eye on it!
