Bad luck mate

I'm sure i read on my Admiral policy a valid MOT was required.

Either way, look at it from the insurers point of view. Try not to pay out. Client might so "shit, oh ok" - in which case they save money. Or the client appeals and they give em the money... it was worth a go... lol

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

If you do end up breaking it yourself, I could be interested in the engine.

But as others have already insinuated I think there is more to it as well !!
The post is about selling items on the car but no request for advice, insurance problems and questions etc. No further post either.

I just looked up dollag's posts as I was sur ehe'd posted a bit.... the theme of the posts may tell a story here:

So the guy (who is 21 and very exciteable by the sound of it) buys an import s2k from a neighbour, and immediately modifies it (Mugen exhaust and talk of underlights..). Pretty soon there is talk of Engine Management lights coming on, airbox lids being removed, questions about NOS, taking on 350z's, desire for a Mugen ECU, then catastrophic engine failure.

Then the engine was rebuilt by some unknown mechanic.

Then whaddya know - big accident, car written off, not MOT'd.

Draw your own conclusions !!!!!!!

If undisclosed to the insurer, the mods are more likely to be the reason for kicking the claim out than the no MOT.

Could be a scam to sell items which don't exist.

hmm the plot thickens (nice observations Dreamer :donsColumbomack

It looks like there could be more than meets the eye.

If the guy is genuine then I am sorry to hear your news, I'm glad you ok and fight on with the insurance company (at least you are ok).

If the guy is being dishonest then he deserves the wrath of the this community who are good, trusting and genuine people.

To be fair I PM'd him re whether he had some muz floor mats and he said that he didn't even know what they were

If he was fleecing people he could have told me anything and I'd have probably sent a cheque off!!!!!!!

Think I'll excercise more caution...

dont be silly, the car is mine and im being very honest, ive been on this site for over six months! the insurance company are sayins that my car has not got a valid mot and therefore invalidates my policy, im with direct line and ive got a friend who work for them who told me tha this is true, i didnt know wat muz mats were cos my car was imported and didnt know wat standard mats were?the car came with lots of little extras. my friend told me i cant win the battle. therefore im breaking the car. ive got recipts for all my audio equip, services etc so if anyone wants anything then for a piece of mind ive got paper work. cant believe me writing off my car makes ppl think twice!
