yellow speed coilovers anyone tried them?

Seems clear enough to me. He believes he took apart a set of Yellow Speed coilovers and, in his opinion, the quality wasn't great.
Not that there would be anything wrong with that as such, especially given the price.
What would be interesting would be a comparison between these and the similarly priced Meister-Rs

It was definately Yellow speed because me being a cynical bugger wondered if the name and colour was trying to cash in a bit on Ohlins reputation...
Like I say, I stripped 2 of his to have a look at them, as I was wondering if they were worth sticking on the Pug at the time, but decided against it and went with ATR's instead.
I'm not saying there's anything really wrong with them given the price - they're a good step up over the V-Maxx/E-tech and all that shite, and the plating on the shafts and anodising was much better than many (although, saying that, the thread cutting on one body was poor, worn tooling maybe) - but I wouldn't say the internals were anything special, especially the adjustment.

It's horses for courses.
The people who buy these sets are only going to mince up and down the road. They want the car to look low and feel firm. They also want a name and an image they can get 'approval' from their car park sharing mates
One of the best ways to compare dampers is to look at the car from the outside. I had the chance to do this at Curborough and whilst it certainly isn't scientific, I could see how Tein Monoflex worked better than BCs. The OEM setup on springs isn't firm enough to be optimal, although on the road it's very good.
I was tempted to buy a set of these :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Adjustable...item1c54739d74
I think these are the unbranded version of all the £650 named dampers (Yellowspeed, Meister R, HSD, etc).
It's clear that the forks are made from a flashier aluminium and there is lots of branding, but seems comparable.
I might see if I can order a single one to cut up
