I'm stating this for Charlie, than I'm done.

If I'm the "Friend's" that you're refering to Joe buying everything for, you couldn't be further from the truth. I must be since I'm the only one, that I'm aware of, that "didn't have anything to do with the board."

In fact, I gave up my hotel being paid for on top of cash I gave Joe and Brian just to help them out. I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO HELP THEM OUT!!! Never to be returned. Besides the 2 beers on Thursday night, I didn't have a single sip of alcohol the rest of the weekend. Everything else ( food, drinks) was paid for by myself and my wife.

 

You all need to take a deep breath.

So... you are trying to tell me... that someone I contracted to provide a service to the members of s2ki and s2kca... to shoot a video better then the one's they've seen in the past, to help them remember the times that they had... who was being asked to front all expenses on this high risk, probability of a small return- venture... that it was unfair to everyone that I paid for his hotel room on ONE of the nights!??? BTW... I didn't even pay for my OWN room on Saturday night- I went back and checked records last night... and I remembered that I Stayed in someone ELSE'S room, on THEIR TAB- because THEY were generous enough to help us out!

Also- I remember offering you MANY opportunities- whether it was personal recognition for the work that you did, a gift, or one of the other prizes- and you respectfully declined them all- now your calling "unfair- I did all that work!"

PLEASE- IF ANYONE DISAGREES THAT IT WAS UNFAIR TO YOU, FOR US TO PAY FOR THE HOTEL ROOM FOR OUR VIDEOGRAPHERS- SOMEONE PROVIDING A SERVICE TO YOU ALL- Speak now, and I will never come back to this website again...

I suppose while we're at it... that I should call Rick Hesel and pay him for the 2 rooms he got us at Fall Colors to Shoot HIS event, and I suppose that the rooms that Greg was going to get me to come out to s2kcadays would have been unfair too...

Charlie... you know you are wrong, and that last post exemplified the fact. Now you are trying to call and wave the "unfair" flag on me paying for ONE room for a SPONSOR of the event! Yup... that ONE room put us WAAAAAY behind budget!! Also- if you want to start "quoting phone conversations"... how about when I offered to cover Scott (King Motorsports) room if he came and spoke to everyone... you didn't think that was "unfair" at the time... you instigating hypocrite!

Again... I will say this with all confidence- you and your "respectible source" are FULL... OF... SHIT... Humorously- the only thing you've confirmed is that I "paid for someone else's room"- and once a logical explination was presented- you begin to dig and cling to life- calling it unfair!

Apparently you do not know much about demographics Charlie. It was very well known from the beginning that there wasn't any monetary interest in producing the Freshwater Tour DVD. Initially, I was very reluctant to do so. But, as time went on, Joe typed my eyes out, and I saw why he wanted to do it so bad.

So, it was to be produced for 2 reasons; 1) For the participants of the event, 2) for a marketing tool for the future of auto enthusiast documentaries (As stated at the banquet by Joe to EVERYONE). The only monetary value would be from within the participants whom of which were only a total of 75 or so people. Not much profit available on a 75 person strong demographic. The fact that we've stated that we didn't make any money off of it was only because we were being accused of "Taking" people on the DVD which again is untrue. If you are interested in investing into my company than we can further discuss my "Business Plan" in a more professional manor, until such time, do not assume you know ANYTHING about my business practices.

Yes, Heather is my wife now, she also does ALL still photography for my shoots ( Heather's Fall Colors Tour Pics ). If you have seen the DVD than you would see where still photography came into play (in fact, you were in quite a few of the shots yourself). Even if not used in the final product, EVERY production I have EVER been on has a still photographer for documentation. The fact that she is my wife is a convenience to not HAVING to hire someone else to do it...SAVING MORE MONEY!

Where you've gotten that Joe "Knew my Mom" is beyond me. To this day, Joe does not know my Mother. On that note, I could show you multiple emails from Joe asking me to do this shoot so that the attendees could have something a little better than the the DVD's of these events that had been produced in the past. So saying that he did my Mother a favor by insinuating that he "Hooked me up" is further out than left field. BTW, I've been in business since 2001. For the record, the ONLY interest Joe had in this DVD was for YOU, the participant. He never did, and never intended to make a dime from it. He was only trying to make The Freshwater Tour more memorable (the first to go to that extreme I might add). Way to go!

One thing that anyone who knows me can attest to is that I'm not all about money. It is unfortunate for anyone to automatically assume so. I could make a hell of a lot more money if I went back to building race cars. I do this because I love to do it. Producing these DVD's is not my main source of income. I do have a day job, as well as freelance for the networks (you can check my resume at http://jsep.tv/resume.htm if you'd like). The fact that you as many others have indirectly insulted me and my business time and time again is the only here. I do appreciate everyone else who has tried to keep things cool: Mark, Jeff, Kyle, Pinyo, etc. and you are examples of why I love to do these shoots, but I won't stand back and be bashed!

 

....you know what's funny Jeff... now that Charlie has put himself out there like this... watch as masculine pride gets in the way of logical reason... I called Brian to ask him about this- and he says the same things... I garuntee that even when Brian posts- Charlie will still cling on to his statements- for fear of being wrong- like a little kid caught lying about his homework...

Charlie- again- I have never been so offended in my life. Brian and I busted our Asses to make that event FOR YOU! If you knew what went into it- you would have backed out before you started.

...But yet- this was OUR fault for going over budget... yeah, right... I forgot how it was supposed to be a profitable venture I hope you sleep well at night...
