OK, on this note.....
Open bar......Joe, Please do NOT take this personally, but a few bottles of liquor and some beer is not what I call open bar. It was greatly appreciated, extremely generous of you, especially after that long drive, but by no means anything extraordinary....you even said so in your post, "....noted and included in the original fee with the trip!"

Now we are going to get into semantics...

Sorry... let me rephrase- "We provided drinks for everyone". Which considering there was NO BAR up north... what was I thinking using that term...

The only thing that cracks me up... is how everyone comes on here and says: "No offense Joe... or don't take this the wrong way Joe"... and then turn around and post how they could have "done it better"... lol... "I would have done it THIS way", and "I would have done it THAT way..."
...when the truth in the matter is "you DIDN'T"... that is why I left this thread open... because I wanted to see how far it would go.
This all reminds me of that Budweiser- Ode to the Fan "my hats to you- shouting out such game saving advice as "Throw the Ball"... and "You suck!"

They say dont take offense cause they dont want you too. Simple. They obviously still consider you a friend and dont wanna hurt your feelings.
I say use this thread as a "suggestion box" for next year. And put together something truly amazing.
Can you just imagine some dude some where opens up a suggestion box that he put out the public. Reads all the comments and just sits there pissed?
Urmil: Where did you have to babysit the cars? Benton Harbor?
Brian looks ok in that pic, and you know I was j/k about the
I couldn't help myself.
When You all were in St. Joe/Benton Harbor for the FWT. My Friend who lives out there called me and said that about 20 or so S2000s were parked at the motel. He called me because I had just bought my S the week before and he thought that I might like to come over and see whats going on. However I couldn't make it , I was at a concert that night.
The next morning I got on the web and found this site. Funny how sh&t happens.
Love the Car, Love the People that drive the Car and Love this site. May have never look for this site if it wasn't for the FWT.
There may have been some mistakes made on the first FWT, But I'm Glad you all put it together. Now if I could just get some work done, so I can get paid, so I can go Play with the S

You should have seen everyone rolling through St. Joe's to and from the beech on Sunday.
Yeah...I knew you were kidding. I didn't take any offense.
In fact, I've been known to do much of this
and this
only to end up being like this
resulting in this
....not because I was too
, but because I ended up with a girl who started doing this
and then ended up trying to give me her
of which I only wanted some
to find out the next morning that I got what I wanted but didn't use any

shift... I understand constructive criticism... and I took tons of it with open arms... maybe this thread as a whole has made me overly defensive (due to a lack of tact by a couple people)... but when someone says the "raffle" was tacky and "I" would have paid money out of my own pocket... ...that's not advice IMO... b/c a few are failing to realize that I did not create the event for my personal profit... it is not a business... a corporation or anything of the such... all it was- was one very big, very well organized meet at the beach... with prizes given away.
I don't understand why... when I had no personal gains from this event other then the joy of bringing so many people together... why I should have to bear more burden then the next guy? Why I should take the financial hit!? It's just ironic how he says the raffle was tacky, and he would have paid out of his own pocket... or how he would have paid for Jeff's room to help out.... what's the difference?? instead of him paying $600 out of pocket if he was the event coordinator.... or just $75 as a friend helping me cover Jeff's expenses.... either way... as far as I can see it... paying $5 for 5 raffle tickets to contribute seems a little more fair...
is this not true? Why should 1 person pay for everything... when we can all just chip in a little to get us to our goals? This event was for all of us... not me... this is where I'm having diffaculties buying this "you should have paid out of your pocket" thing... if that is the case... then I'm not organizing FWT 2... the massive amount of time is one thing... but a financial burden is another...

Its your baby. You gave birth to it. As many times as you say "it was for YOU(meaning all of us)" it doesn't change the fact that you were in charge, you were responsible and you were the ringleader. YOU, Joe, not Charlie, Urmil, Damon, me or anyone else. You created it and planed poorly so you must take responsibility for the risks that are associated with it. Yes, we all DO appreciate the efforts. We all had fun. And if some of us see fit to help you out financially, that is our choice. It should not be imposed on us because you failed to plan properly.
This thread pulled itself out of the gutter when you didn't post. But, you are back now and you refuse to let it go. Why? Kill it! Kill it dead! Then, Joe, take a few weeks off, try to read through it again with a clear mind and learn from it.
