So, I"m ready to make the ever anticipated plunge and buy my Volk wheels. I'm looking at the GT7 or GTC but I'm caught between choosing sizes.

Also tire sizes the correspond to the wheels. Would it be better to get the 17" and a wider tire? Is the difference in width really all the much?

Please help and let the opinions and facts rip.

front GT7 18x7.5 +50
rear GT7 18x8 +50

or

front GTC 17x7 +50
rear GTC 17x8 +50

The car is stock except for cosmetics like Rick's S badges and Alpine

it depends on what your going to do with the car. if you plan on tracking and auto-x i would stick with the 17s. but if your more about looks, then i would go with the 18s. also, the 17s will have better ride quality because the sidewalls are a little taller. oh yeah, i think they would handle better too (depending on what tire you use). Another thing is tires are cheaper for 17" and more choices are available.

ok, so if I go with the 17" then could I put 17x7 with 225 or 215 and 17x9 with 255? Or would 17x8 be best for the rear with 255.

The car is primarily a road warrior with anticipated track time being limited to pretending to race while waving at my wife.

I appreciate the input and hope you have a bit more for the questions posed above.
