Didn't the NSX use different size (not width) rims at one point?

No issues with your selection.

Several cars come with different diameter rims front to back right from the factory. I don't see any problem with this as long as the tire diameters are kept more or less the same (for speedo error and rolling resistance) and the tire widths are more or less comparable.
Might look odd to the discerning eye, though.

most all nsx people go with bigger rear than the fronts i.e. 17f18r and most all rear engine cars go with bigger and wider in the rears than the fronts...

i don't think it would be a problem going bigger on the rears for our cars, but you have to consider the height difference, rolling resis. like the other guy mentioned and so forth...there's more to consider than just width and offsets...

Other than spending more for rear tires I don't see any advantage to doing that. Those wheels are available in 17x9 rears. I don't see any problems doin it, I just don't see any gain.

it looks weird, since the s2000 needs the same size tires all around. What happens is the larger 18" wheels have a lower profile tire and it just looks goofy.

The NSX uses a smaller overall diameter tire up front with the 16/17 combo and it looks ok (also the wheel well is pretty small on the nsx)
