i dont see why not just go 18's all around. It would give the car a cool looking hunched look, but why not just go 18's all around?

I have 17's all around. I think the combo look would look awesome but I'd be inclined to go 18's all around if I could do over.

Having been quite satisfied with my tire/wheel combo I rarely make it to the T+W forum much but having checked in I can respond to this particular post with an enthusiastic thumbs up. 17x7.5 Velox VX-K in the front with 18x7.5's in the rear. I wanted just enough stagger to support the wheel I had chosen (ET42/45 I believe but don't quote me on that) so I had to go with a smaller diameter wheel to support the 205/45/17 Ecsta's. The rear's are 225/40/18 and I probably couldn't have gone wider since most wheel manufacturers do not recommend anything wider than 225mm for a 7.5-inch wheel. Handling is predictable and very stable, especially on wet roads. I don't push the car beyond 8/10ths nor race the car so the offset, while not OEM spec friendly, is fine for daily driving and the occasional "I'm mad at the world so I'm taking the car for a drive" therapy session. I would like to lower the car with a .75 inch drop but am not sure there is enough room under the wheel well to support it since with this combo, I went outboard half an inch on each corner.
