Default Avon Tech M500

I almost pulled the trigger on a set of the Avon M500s. The feedback from others on Tirerack is very high, as well as numbers from the Tirerack tests. But I wanted to see if any other S2k owners had tried them, and if so what THEY thought. You really can't beat the price, so I wanted to check here first.....
These will be summer tires only, and will use them on AutoX and occasional track day.
Any thoughts?

BTW: I will be fitting them on 17" all the way 'round. 205/50 up front and 225/45 rear

I just put a pair of 245/45-16's on the rear of my MY02 ( replacing some well worn ES100 yoko's ) and have been very pleasantly surprised. I have about 1200-1500 miles on them and they work very well. Very sharp steering response, on par with SO2's with noticeably better ride. Still new but seem to pull good cornering G's. Will get my first chance to drive in the rain today but initial impression in rain is good. Got mine through TireRack. Very good tires and great bang-for-the-buck value.

Nice to see a review on the S2K. I have driven them on the BMW in tire test and they are a good tire and a good value.
If I can help let me know.

Well I guess that seals it. I will be ordering them tomorrow from ya Jim after I talk to the shop where I bought the wheels. Hopefully they will allow me to ship directly to them for mounting/balancing.
I will post some thoughts later after a few weeks of driving and a few AutoXes.
