Default Best Tires..need to change all 4

Hi guys I need some advice. My S2K is my Sunday/autocross car. I need to change the rear tires...front are stock. What would be the best deal as far as traction, tread wear and cost. I really think S02 and S03 are too expensive.

Thanks

might want to look into kumho mx. ive heard many good things about those tires and relatively cheap for the performance of the tires. they dont last very long though.

If I had my car on stockers and would never drive it in the rain, but only drove at AutoX's and Sundays I would bite the $$$ bullet and put race tires on

But if I were in your shoes and didn't want to spend the $$$ I'd look at Kumho MX's, but with a much wider rear

I'd just save up and get OEM SO2's...

If you really want something cheaper and longer wearing, I would consider Goodyear Eagle F1s. However, I'd first think about going with the stock tires at least until the fronts wear out as well.

Try the Fuzion ZR1.
Very good dry traction, and last mich longer than SO2.
And lot cheaper.

the S02's are much stickier than any of the others available. I just changed to S03's 205/55-245/45. I really like them. If I only autocrossed my car and didn't need to drive in the rain the only tire I would consider is the S02 or R compound.

Just do another pair of S-02's. You should always run the same tires at all four corners. You can generally wear two sets of rears to one set of fronts, so the cost isn't really that bad.
