do you have to have matching front/rear tires
Just wondering if its that big of a deal to run Different rears vs the Front tires?
Any negative affects?
steering, handling
Let me know I know this is a noob question but just want to see what you guys think!
Thanks

No, you don't have to. But to maximize safety and performance it's the best idea. You may be able to find different front / rear sets that behave well together but unless you're making the decision based on experience with the setup, it's a gamble. So, to accommodate the suboptimal tire setup you back off on driving the car hard. Where's the fun in that. Might as well not own a sports car.

as long as the compounds are similar it wont be a problem,...... i have bridgestone re01-r on the rear and Dunlop Direzza Star Specs on the front,...i see no difference , but if you go with an all-seaon and a summer/performance, it will oversteer/understeer depending how they are placed

That is the main thing. Match the type of tire if nothing else. I will say the best performance is to run the same tire on all four corners. If the tires are too different you can get suprised in an emergency situation.
If I can help let me know.

I didn't want to go with different tires in the rear so I stuck with RE070s. Thanks to Tire Rack, got it quick as usual. Local Honda dealer will be installing them on tuesday.(just in time for the long drive to the east coast Honda meet)
