that's my point.. i have no idea what the limits of snow tires are... i'm from california.. and to be honest.. i've never seen snow tires before....
In Cali, why are you even thinking about snow tires? Are you planning to drive up to the mountains?
Like any new car or new type of tires, you have to explore the limits of traction on your own and do it gradually. For example, noone can tell you that you can only go around a certain type of corner at XX mph.
If you drive on winter tires in too warm a temp, you'll wear them out pretty fast. Winter tires have fairly soft rubber compound. They wear best in the cold. Hot road driving will just burn them out in no time.

hehe.. i'm originally from California... i just relocated to Seoul, Korea... and like i said, i bought the car, and the previous owner had snow tires on them... hehe
