That is very very difficult...........Especially if you are concerned with the car's cornering performance & stability.
The S2000 has a staggered front to rear tire & wheel size.........Honda set the car up that way to account for the car's tendancy to want to "overstear"......to be tail happy when cornering.
1. It would have been best if you had / can buy or exchange for a wider wheel in the rear......such as an 8.5" or 9" width for example.....this would allow for easier / better tire fitment to achieve the correct stagger.
Note: If you change to a wider rear wheel you need to get a higher offset so you do not have rubbing / clearance issues..... 8.5" a +55 min........9" +62 / +63 would be great.
The offset of +48 is OK for the front for a 7.5" wide wheel.........but as I mentioned above it makes it hard to fit for the rear tire......and still maintain a stagger
2. The OEM diameter on the front wheels with Bridgestone SO-2's are 25.0"..............and 24.8" in the rear. The closest tire sizes to this that will correctly fit your wheels are:
215/45/18 = approx 25.7" diameter
225/40/18 = approx 25.0" diameter
Exact diameter per size varies slightly from tire to tire manufacturer to manufacturer.....but it is important for the ABS (anti lock brakes) as well as for the gear ratio and spedometer.
3. As far as just putting a wider tire on the 7.5" wheel in the back............it is possible to get a 235/40/18 on the 7.5" wheel but that's pushing it & I'm not sure about clearance / rubbing in the rear......that size tire & up is recommended to have 8" wide wheels and so on.....
4. If you can not exchange or swap....and are stuck with exactly what you have I guess I woulds say:
215/45/18 - Front
235/40/18 - Rear
They are similar in rolling diameter.........will not change / affect the gearing / spedometer much...........front will have no clearance issues........No Guarentee in the rear.

i really appriciate all u writing them all up for me as i am going to have to keep these cant afford to get rid of them right now cause i just bought them. i am a lil unsure about this because of the fact thatu say it would be pushing it to put a 40 on a 7.5 ? so should i go and get those tire numbers ? and wouldn't it look weired with 215 and 235 different? plesae get back to me asap.
Thanks
