Default Widest I can go

I have 17x7.5 rears. I was wanting to know whats the widest i can go with that size wheel and with out the rubbage. Will the tallness of the tire matter also?

i would run a 225/40 or 235/40 in the rear...the 7.5 just isnt wide enough to get a bigger tire back there.

I would only go with 205/50R17 front and 225/45R17 rear. It will keep you in the same diameter as stock and keep a stagger front to rear.
If I can help let me know.

Ive been debating on wether or not of running a smaller height size tire for the rear. Currently the front is 7.5 +45 running a 225/50/17 the rear is the same. I know i should be running wider in the rear. Thats why im asking whats size can i run. Do you guys think i can run a 245/50/17 in the rear with no rubbing? Thats what i would like.

245/50-17 is WAY taller than stock (and yes it matters a lot as far as rubbing is concerned).

235/45-17 is probably your best rear size option.

Ok, ive seen alot of cars running different tire sizes and some look funny. IE fronts are 215/50/17 rears 235/45/17 to the eye the rear tire seems smaller. Would this look funny? Could i run 225/50/17 and still be ok? Thanks guys for all of your help also. Its much appreciated

215/50 is taller than stock size. if you're gonna use 215 tire you have to have a 45mm sidewall. and i think the 235/45 for the rear will be fine
