stock camber adjustment

Post stock camber adjustment

Heeeey so i couldnt find a topic on this so i did a bit of research in the s2000 bible because i will be getting a set of vs-xx's soon and wanted to see what i could do with the stock camber, so here we go....

you will need:
17mm socket and wrench (the camer bolt is 2 sided)
19mm (to remove wheels)
a jack


set it up, lift the car and remove the wheel

2. this bolt is the one we will be adjusting i sprayed a bit of wd-40 on it to help me break the bolt


3. break the bolt just to the point where you can move the entire bolt nut and oval washers that are atached to the bolt you can see them in the picture this is what moves the wheel in and out not a huge adjustment but pretty significant for stock considering most cars dont even have this. The bolt in thepicture is set to a full negative camber (not stock setting the stock was in the middle of the 2 actually)


4. put it all back together, make sure you torque everything back

well idk if thats helpful or not but it would have helped me, i didnt even know you could adjust the stock camber haha g/l guys

I think it would be a very good idea to measure the camber and make sure it's where you want it to be. Maximum camber adjustment may be too much for your application (street? track? tires?), and is probably not the same on both sides of the car. You'll want to change the camber on the front too so that the car stays balanced.

That's a really bad idea to turn any of the camper or toe adjusters with no way to measure the change.

Not to mention the rear toe changes when you move the camber adjuster, you will significantly shorten tire life, and can create a very ill handling car.

The car needs to be aligned by measuring caster camber and toe, then adjustments are made.
