06+ Roll Hoop Speakers
I was wondering how the OEM roll hoop speakers are wired. I can't find much on it and was wondering if anyone here has torn apart their 06+ before... And has anyone replaced their speakers? I know the OEM speakers/tweeters suck ass. I know modifry has some but I am going for the OEM look. I can't find the dimensions on the roll hoop speakers. Im assuming 3/4- 1 1/2" ??? Any help would be awesome.

I took stocks out and replaced with Modifry. In person they look pretty clean
Anyways I have all my stock stuff in boxes and can get you dimensions. They are tiny, and there is barely enough stock wire to splice into. I ended up splicing extensions off the stock wiring so i had enough to work with.
I have a tool for pulling the stock grill covers off the hoops, and you also need magnets and tape so when the grill gets pulled out the metal clips dont fall and get lost. I actually have from Modifry really good step by step instructions.
I think it will be extremely hard to find a speaker that fits in the stock location and offer an improvement over stock. I bought new grill covers and had to cut/enlarge the opening to accept bigger speakers, and I also had to trim the plastics behind the grill to fit a bigger and deeper speaker in the location. Like I said, there is very little space in stock location.

Adam, where does the wires connect and where does it run? Through the center console? I would need to do some modifying unless the 04-05 has a harness the I have an 05.. I found these http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-C2-075CT.html
There's about 6 options for 3/4" tweeter and 1" tweeter. The depth is what I'm worried about.

I am trying to remember if the wires go into a plug and then into the main harness, or if the speakers are directly wired into the harness. I will have to think, or climb into my trunk and trace my wires.
So how are you planning on installing tweeters and where?

I bought 07 Roll hoops. Should be a direct fitment. Everything is there just need to figure out on running the wires and the dimensions that can fit the aftermarket tweeters. I will probably have to cut the back part and hollow it out like how I did on my door speakers

Correct. I only popped the grill covers off the roll hoops.

How much did the 07 roll hoops run you? I've been looking into this and would definitely be willing to lend a hand and/or be the guinea pig. Depending on how available and costly it is of course.
