Painful reading many of the comments on evom lol. Felt like I was reading one long youtube comments section.

 

both have great pros and some minor cons.. i couldnt make up my mind so i got both of the cars about 2 years a part.
now im a happy camper and enjoying boosted and n/a life..

 

I had a hard time deciding between an s2k/evo/wrx.

Price decided it for me. I couldn't have gotten a clean wrx or evo for what I paid for my very clean (and adult owned) s2k.

 

That Evo forum post just gave me cancer. Holy $hit

Since I have had both for many years I suppose ill comment. I recently just sold the evo for a civic hybrid and kept the s2000.
My s2000 is turboed making 442whp on pump gas and my evo makes 410whp on pump gas

I love driving the s2000 much more than the evo. It simply just much more fun to drive especially since mine is turboed.

The evo is a better car.

The evo is a much better performance car and has much better potenchiel at being a good performance car. It a better drag car a better auto cross and road race car. It's a better daily driver. It's great in bad wether. Th evo is way Easyer to drive fast. Way Easyer to race an evo.

If I can only drive and own one car it would be an evo.

My job now forces me to drive over 100miles a day which forced me to buy a hybrid and sell either my evo or s2000. I chose to keep the s2000 and sell the evo. But if I can only drive and own one car it would be an evo.

 

How do you think they feel reading some post on this forum? Also look at the date of the thread. It's like 7 years old

 

I've always liked Evos, especially the 7/8/9 - that 4G63 is a beast! I definitely lusted after an Evo IX MR at one point or another. I think an Evo would be a fine DD/sporty car, but if you have another DD the S2K is by far the purer sports machine. Plus, driving the with the top down on a nice day is just a treat.

Also, and this is just personal bias, but I've never trusted Mitsubishi as far as reliability. Too many horror stories about crank walk, transmission problems, oil pump problems, etc.

 

I owned 2 EVO 8's and loved both of them. Cars are just pure monsters

 

Agreed with riceball777. S2000 is more fun to drive and looks better.

Evo is a better performance car all around. Drag, autox, road course.

Although the s2000 isnt too far behind either.

Just take a look at all the fastest time attack cars between the evo and s2000. And all the fastest drag cars between the two as well.

Driving the s2000 always puts a smile on my face. Driving an evo doesnt for me.
