Boxster should have been a smaller/cheaper/lighter 4cylinder only car. As it is it's much too close to the 911 in terms of price and weight.
Really? Too close in price? How much/close are you talking about when you referred to "too close in price"? I didn't know Boxster and 911 were too close in price.

Hey there are a lot of people who will by ugly cars just so long as they have the right badge on the front of there grill. What else explains a Porsche Cayenne? People buy it to prove they have style, and end up proving that they have none.

Porsche once said in the end when people are no longer buying cars for regular transportation, people will still buy Porsche's for the experience. Having driven the current offerings, it "may" seem like the "experience" is still there.

But what are you comparing this experience to? I've raced and driven many makes and models extensively. I just don't like how the 996 turbo reacts to fine input. I actually prefer the drive in a Carrera.

Carrera's are cheap used. They just don't hold their value. I still couldn't see myself driving around in one. I actually feel like a douche even driving around in a S2K. That's just me, I'm not that vain.

I can't see myself spending 60k or more on a car. I have other things that I would much rather invest my money in.

But I have a deep addiction to racing, and speed. The Evo satisfies my speed fix better than anything else. Regardless of the numbers, on a track, the Evo whoops on everything else.

Why spend money on David and Goliath, when you could focus it all on David and make it completely unstoppable.

It's all about the drive and experience right?

...well, unless you want to look the part on the street
