or even Louts yellow (I've given up correcting that typo; it's appropriate!) would suit it far better.
You should have said you were coming up my way. I've still got the S and could have got it out and we could have all gone for that drive on the north norfolk coast.
I think its a lovely car. We've got the lotus contract so i have been delivering all the parts for it to lotus from their storage yard.
Tesla have just started making carbon extras for their electic car and they look awesome.

Norfolk Mustard if you please.
The Evora is available in solar or saffron (get a lifestyle!) yellows.

Was taken to Hethel by the owner of a Lotus dealership after a I put a deposit on the Elise before it had a name and anyone knew what it would be like. Had to cancel because I couldn't get my elderly MIL in and out and couldn't fit enough bunches of spray carnations in it. I have driven the Lotus track. Have also passengered with one of the works drivers who lost the (S2) M100 Elan (slower than the M100 which had no cat) that we were in. We narrowly missed a huge yellow earth-moving vehicle which strangely was parked alongside the track. Very exciting! The track doubles as an airstrip.
I remember looking out of the back window of a coach on a trip to London in the 60s. We were being followed by one of the original Elans. My girlfriends were drooling over the hot guy driving but I was transfixed by his stylish little car with its pop-up headlights, probably similar to the one Spykee's dad owned and the inspiration for the MX5.
Really looking forward to reading MarkB's report when he gets to drive the Evora.
(Sorry, have gone a bit OT but I should get away with it as this is my thread.)
Right, I had the test drive this afternoon.
The car was the red demonstrator I mentioned earlier and it really suits the car now I've seen it 'out and about', if I were to buy one, it would be in red. It's also a bit of a timeless sports car colour, I can't help wondering if half of these white cars will end up looking as naff as a white Capri in 10 years time.
Anyway, the test drive.
It was from Formula 1's showroom just north of Newcastle city centre, so there were some narrow streets and a dual carriageway to negotiate before we could get anywhere interesting, but around town and onto the dual carriageway the car is well behaved, easy to manoever and not too different from the Exige to place on the road, it feels a small car around you, some cars give the feeling of being unwieldy, the Evora doesn't. It also soaks up the lumps, bumps and potholes on Newcastle with aplomb, it's ride will be a revelation to anyone used to crashy German cars - It's a very civilised car in most respects, one I could use everyday, if I needed that.
It's also very comfortable, although some of the switches didn't exactly fall to hand, and the stalks look like they come from a

Thanks Mark!
Almost exactly what I was expecting.
Like you, Porsche isn't for me.
My biggest problem with the Evora is probably a secondhand NSX - token back seats notwithstanding.
We'll look forward to your test of the Evora S!

Nice write up on the Evora. The only bit that struck me as odd was the "upgrade from S2000 to Elise/Exige". Very odd! Lets see.... takes 5 minutes to climb into it; well nigh impossible to get in with the top up; rides like its hell bent on damaging my bottom three vertebrae; highly unreliable (all the Lotus bits, not the Toyota bits); incredibly noisy; incredibly expensive; notchy shifter; terrible electronics; costs a ton of money just to get simple work done on it. Hmmmmm, how could the Elise be an upgrade from an S2000? I don't get it!
