Am told that it is much easier to get the back end out on the Evora than on the Elise. When sports traction mode is engaged there is increased yaw and slip.

Agree. Much too refined for rough and ready types like me.

There is a 'photo' ! of the new Esprit on the front of Auto Express I
spotted today. IF the Evora makes them enough (or any) money.

Russ.

Replacement for the DC2 you mean Nick?

I guess the R26.r would be a very good one, or the FD2.

111R and the DC2 are extremely different cars though - not sure you can direclty compare them.

You do feel everything through the steering, it's pretty much directly coupled to the wheels. When you're "on it" it makes more sense.
I don't see why not - the 111R had exactly the same 'character' as the 'teg, surprisingly similar steering, brakes and throttle response, and put you in a similar mindset.

Where they differed was:-
- the 111R is that bit quicker/sharper/lighter
- you can feel the weight distribution and driven wheels - "pushing" you out of corners (the 'teg definitely "pulls"), but also loading up more at the back than the front.

With the 111R I'd feel the need to tinker though - for example the stock engine note isn't as good as the S2000, let alone the ITR. And at

Two-tonne Tessies with dead steering, the body proportions of a van and Muppet-proof, (travel-free on the FD2) McPherson-strut handling?

Hardly. Honda threw the bathroom out with the sprog on that one a bit.

AND the Reno has the ergonomics of a Guillotine, the electrics of a torture chamber and the Je ne sais WTF that just makes Renos such spacktard-mobiles.

Well it's the only stripped out FWD track ready can I can think of atm.

Havoc, I hear what you say about the engine note but it's not really something that affects the performance (which is what it's about) an indction thingy or zorst sorts it out. I think the S2000 sounds pretty flat tbh, but the DC2 had a nice buzz to it
