I think JB for the win again tomorrow.

Lewis will be too hard on his tyres.
Interesting you say that, Pirelli are apparently bringing an 'experimental' tyre to this race, preparing the compound for next years races early. 10 - 12 laps is where the super soft reputed limit will be .. we'll see !
Knowing JB he'll make them last another 6-8 laps

I'm happy to be wrong, but I call it as I see it so far. Lewis has the pace, but can't manage his tyres. Seb seems to be nearly the package: fast single lap, good race pace, and good tyre management. His only flaw is he can crack under the pressure, re: canada etc.

I hate to say it, but Alonso is the only full "driver" out there. Fast single lap, tyre management, and race pace. He just hasn't had the car this year.

JB is a great race driver, can do the race pace, excellent tyre management, but isn't great on the single lap. If tyre and fuel management aren't important then he's going to struggle, but if they are, then he's in there, as long as he's happy with the car set-up.

This is the first year I've watch all qualifying and race sessions. Very interesting.

If you watch Button vs Hamilton on qualy lap on board, you can see the massive difference in style and attack.

Remember, no points on saturday and you are far far better to set up a car for the race than for qualy.

I still think Button will win

Wasn't that great a race tbh. It was close at the end and Lewis did some awesome defending from Webber. Just a shame JB couldn't get in the mix a bit more in those final few laps.

As above, but add in Alonso.

I think the tyres need sorting.
I've said it before but F1 is the absolute pinnacle of automotive technology...except for the tyres which last 8 laps; 20 miles or about 15 minutes.

And the fact that they degrade so quickly puts "marbles" everywhere off the racing line so makes overtaking even more risky.

Just like most races this year: lots of great racing, just none of it for the lead.

Red Bull really made a cock up pitting Webber behind Hamilton. One lap earlier, or one lap later wouldn't have mattered because either way Webber had the pace to take second.

Lewis is starting to remind me rather of Mansell - raw talent to burn, so long as he's allowed to burn it. As heartbreaking as Mansell's tyre blow-out in Adelaide was, it wasn't a surprise and didn't feel like bad luck, just a by-product of his style.

I never saw Mansell reigned in by his team, but Lewis looked this weekend like he's been reigned in; i.e. bloody miserable.

I hate to say it also, but Alonso looks the more complete package just as you say, Chilled.

What would be handy sometime soon would be Vettel being in the position whereby his all-round capability is equally tested. Not his fault that he's been in the dominant grid-car, but it's not been helpful in working out his all-round ability.

It was a pretty good race wasn't it ... Hamilton proved his class keeping Webber behind that is for sure. Vettel shown on the last lap just how much speed in hand that RB car has, he went .8 of a second quicker than the previous fastest lap by Hamilton ... nearly a full second faster is light years ahead, and that at the end of a race where the tyres are likely to be past their best (less fuel in too but then that would be the same for everyone). Adrian Neweys' car is simply incredible and I just hope the other teams can build a car to at least match it next year or it will be the same again.

Hamilton seems a little brighter now he beat his team mate, and he beat him well and truly today, button had no reply. I hope Hamilton can pull himself together for the rest of the season, and keep his confidence high in readiness for next year, and that Maclaren can give him a car to challenge the RB car. Roll on the next race, what a great season so far!
