The Formula 1 Thread - 2012
Senna is an amazing film.
Not sure on this programme, its very detailed and interesting but a little clunky. Early days though. The ad breaks though, they ruin it. I hope the race and quali will be ad free...

Not a bad start for Sky.
Agree though that ads are too many and too long. Thank god for Sky+. Do we know if the race will have ads like ITV did some years back...if so I will be certainly recording the race and watching it later.
A couple of observations....
- does Damon really need to sit there with his legs splayed wide open all the time,
(or maybe he's got a hard on for Georgie)
- like the virtual car. bet BBC dont have one of them
- Sky seem to have a lot more access with the teams than BBC or ITV ever did. Hope that stays like that throughout the season as it makes it so much more personal.

I thought the ads were only every half an hour. But I was watching it in paused and catch up mode.
A bit of a dull show I thought. It would have been much better if they'd just let Brundle and Hill chat about the season to come, rather than having a presenter asking them a question each.
I wonder if that giant touchscreen was real, or if they were just performing carefully rehearsed movements in sync with the previously produced graphics.

Still a darn sight cheaper than an actual race weekend tickets .....its Mr Ecclestone that I think is the thieving git here....
anyway, who said anything enjoyable is cheap in this life.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Sex? Just a thought.

You can't be married then Phil
just been watching the 1989 season review. this was around the time I was seriously becoming an F1 fan, mainly due to Nigel Mansell. I'm hoping they'll do plenty of these. Its always amazed me that you can't really get much in the way of archive footage on DVD. I would have thought that Bernie would have had another lucrative revenue stream by putting each season onto DVD for us die hard fans.
