I've just had another look at the cucumber cry baby incident and it seems that Karthekiyan moves right so I guess that's why he gets a penalty.

Don't think you can say that from the footage. Karthikeyan stays on the racing line. Vettel cuts into him.

Other telemetry info, or RB lobbying.

I'll bet on the latter.

Watch this footage carefully for both Vettel and Karthekeyan's motion after the corner.

What am I looking for?

I'd say Vettel was just a bit casual in his pass and cut back in too soon ...

Watched the F1 show on the Sky F1 channel last night.

Johnny Herbert was the steward and pointed out the reason why they gave Karthikayan the penalty.
They went into detail about the incident, the penalty was fair he moved 2m into Vettels path.

Liking the new detail that SKY are going into, they shown the Merc's F duct front wing in detail.

The first shot does show quite clearly that Karthekeyan moved. But then if you watch the onboard footage, you see what led up to it. Karthekeyan had gone wide on the previous corner, was recovering and had already been mugged by one car. He might not have had any idea Vettel was coming. Vettel might have been wiser to give a recovering driver more room.

No he wouldn't, these incidents are often so close to call they are just opinion based, personally I agree with Dave (that's a turn up) but the point of all this is Vettel' reaction, showing his true colours now that the car is not the strongest in the field ... I also love the fact that Webber has out qualified Vettel every race so far ... golden boy hates it doesn't he ... being brought back down to earth and looking for people to blame because he is not as good as the hype that he readily believed that was built up around him by Horner and the RB team. I remenber being berated on here last year when I gave my 'grading' of the top 5 drivers and vettel didn't enter my top 5 of if he did he was 5th something like that, I still maintain that view too, in fact now I would say he was 6th after Kimi .. possibly 7th after Sergio's efforts

He IS wrong, Vettel was not penalised. The stewards attached no blame to him. Now it is possible that that those on here blaming him are more experienced than the stewards and have more technology available to them, in which case I bow to their superiority.

I do agree that he could have reacted better in the post race interview.
