It was a bit dubious. It'd been more convincing if it'd been a big smoky lock up, but it looked a very in control going off. Would Rosberg really do that? A little hard to believe but then perhaps that's naive. I think Hamilton's rich kid comments must have riled him.

But I can't see them giving a penalty.

 

This is shaping up to be one of the classic F1 rivalries..
shades of Senna/Prost Alonso/Hamilton Lauda/Hunt etc

Yeah he shouldn't have done it, according to Nikki Lauda ... swift justice was done today at Monaco I think! Having had time to reflect, I would like to add that Hamilton went down in my estimation today somewhat, I think we all know (and Hamilton more than anyone) that Nico is a fair driver, and very fast. I think that Hamilton should have been gracious in defeat, patted Nico on the back, sprayed him as the victor with champagne and then focused on the next GP at Canada. Easier said than done I know, but still that would have been the thing to do. I think this race will actually favour Nico quite a bit, Hamilton needs to accept that his team mate is NOT a cheat, and a VERY FAST racer in his own right, regardless of his upbringing.

Some needle between these two now, should make for a great season.

Ricciardo keeps going up and up in my estimation and shows what a very average team mate Vettle was up against the last 5 years with Mark Webber, Ricciardo is a proper racer, and good for him too!

 

Nico hadn't done anything wrong yet everyone jumps on the bandwagon to call him a cheat.

Apart from Hamilton thinking he was raised in some sort of 'ghetto' and taking the pish out of Nico for his upbringing, it comes to light he had to use a super engine mode to fend off Nico, thus cheating again.

I think Webber had resigned to playing out the contract more than anything else. Marko didn't like him and would have done his best to favour seb any way he could.

Since Daniel is a Marko boy too, we are seeing more of an even treatment.
