Bobby was the last to lift Jules. As much as FIFA seem like the baddies here, I actually side with them.
There are companies paying LOTS of money to be affiliated with the World Cup and they might get a little p1ssy if they see that right next to 'MONSTER ENERGY' is the world cup.

Lots of scope for World Cup pedantry in this thread.....
The last person to lift the Jules Rimet World Cup was not Bobby Moore in 1966, but Carlos Alberto in 1970.
Has anyone kept score of the Mercedes car failures Hamilton v Rosberg? Just curious, as this is possibly going to determine the outcome of the drivers championship i.e. whose car fails more often (unless the Williams team luck drastically improves!)
Yeah I think Hamilton said something like; "where's the golden trophy gone? This one is falling apart." at the British GP - I was expecting some controversy to ensue. Really does cheapen the whole thing - they might as well give them a "I won the grand prix" sticker and T-Shirt
He actually went and found the proper trophy, and said in an interview that he wanted to hold the trophy in front of the fans, the one with all the winners' names on it. So he did. And fair play to him, those new ones look worse than a hook-a-duck prize.
call me cynical, but funny how Rosberg's car failed at the home GP of Hamilton and visa versa, allowing each driver to win their home GP... thus boosting interest and excitement in the sport.
I do wander if Bernie has had a word with Mercedes and said, look, you know you've won the title, now help the sport keep the punters buying tickets and subscribing to Sky tv... keep us all in a job.
If the championship goes to the last race (which I am sure it will for many reasons), I'd be willing to place a small wager that Rosberg will win due to some technical gremlin or outright failure of Hamiltons car... I mean, why would a German manufacturer want a British driver to win over one of their own
Rosberg will win, as not enough races left for Hamilton to build a 50 point lead which is what we he'll need for the last race.

Not sure where Monaco fits. Was that a Rosberg failure in practice as such ...?
