No, you can't take it with you but you might want to leave a little present for someone.

we decided we don't
we plan to sell everything while we are still fit, put outside a large rental pot or buy a place either of us would be happy to live out our days in/would sell to fund care and blow the rest on luxuries of every description
if we die earlier than we hope, there'll be a windfall or three
otherwise, our families (or the juniors in them anyway) will have to do what we did - make our own money
the exception, on my side at least, will be my nephew
I will ensure, have ensured, he'll be a wealthy sod at some point in his life (he's 15 now)
one of our customers has bought one of these. it may come over from America some time. it's quite a beast apparently. this'll go up in value.
Nice, a Merc from when they built them to last.
I noticed a couple of 1970s XJCs on Pistonheads a couple of weeks ago for around the £5k mark. Neither of them were complete sheds but neither was mint, I'd be tempted at that price though, I always thought the XJC was the nicest looking of the modern era Jags.
Next house will have a barn for the purpose of storing 'project' cars that will make my grandchildren rich (or not).

rot is the problem with the XJS
have a look at the radius arms where they join the sill just in front of each rear wheel
bad rust there can make the car scrap
I think the XJC is one of those cars that people have tried to talk up but it has never really happened
XJ6/Daimler coupe being another example
I don't think there's any value in a £5K XJC but I would pay half that for one if it was basically sound
I see a lot that just don't sell
barns are good
