With the monitor I can see my AC charger gives the 12v a little tickle too - you can see it at the start and end of this graph where voltage pops up over 13v as octo kicks in (car was not used yesterday)
I guess around 6k a year here tho my mileage has dropped since we bought the tank to share family duties
I reckon that would 850-900 in a petrol doing 40mpg
Diesel is 680p ATM so even at AVG 50mpg that is over 800 notes fuel, add in filter and oil and it's clear, despite what the market thought, the e was a very cheap to run prop
There are 2 key faults evident so far, the door handles sticking and flattening batt is a fiddly DIY fix
The brake simulator much worse, affecting many hybrids and this bev honda made, can be pricey to solve. Recalled in some markets.
Paint is soft but that is an industry wide thing with water based paints
It's nicer to drive than modern shopping buggy petrols imle
I've started to see the odd one flitting around.. which doesn't surprise me as they've dropped to 13-14k now for 20k milers...
The used car market has seriously dropped for certain cars, EVs especially. Whereas my recent purchase B58, bizarrely has increased in value?!
It does then make it more of a bargain this Honda and ideal as a local run about. In terms of it's now cheap cost, what's not to like?
I think they'll "bottom out" at around 8k and perhaps see a value increase revival.
I spoke to a few decent sales blokes, one at a supermarket style place who had an EV6 said electric cars were hard to shift - back when I was looking
Glad I didn't buy another in that respect but the little e is perfect for me, I don't like big cars, I don't like fwd, I don't like struggle buggy shit engines
Rules out a lot of the options as a daily and most cheap to run stuff
This and the 2 S2s suit me. Dog likes it too.
I rarely bother leisure shopping..sometimes ponder adding a TVR but daily cars? Nah
Ok I lied.. is a Challenger a daily?

Still really enjoy the little thing but with dog #2 here will it still work? I guess I could remove the rear bench if needed lol
In the winter BEVs have shit range but defrost themselves, on a timer if you like. The range doesn't bother me as I reckon I do sub 4k a year in it now, as a dog wagon.
That's 4 years in the e and 23k miles on the clocks
Not showing any signs of battery issues apart from the 12v which lives a life of short journeys carrying 2 dogs. I have to plug the seat belt in when I wash it or I risk flattening. Odd.
I did take it to Manchester last week to buy some wheels for the S2.. just standard Enkei with a good refurb, here is the nuance of electric.
On the way out lets say I used most of the charge which has cost me 7p/kWh or £2.10 for 30 (est) for the 80 mile journey at 2C across the peaks (I might be exaggerating the amount used, it went from 100% to 10%)
I charge in Stockport. 65p a kWh so the return jrny cost me £19.5
Vs the £2.1
So rapid charging on the road kills the economy
Way out, assuming 6.5 a gallon I was getting say 240miles/gall
Way back 26.6
Total journey cost £22 for 160 miles so 47mpg - beats our CRV just I guess but next time I will take that
But it's a fun little steer and a great car nonetheless
I have been eyeing the latest CTR recently. Not an ideal dog wagon though
So the e has departed.. about 12k depreciation in 4 years and 21k miles (my use)
Brilliant, truly brilliant little car. Mine didn't put a foot wrong really. The 12v was weak, the door handles were sketchy but I really enjoyed owning this car. Bags of character and I miss it already
For a sub 6 month old car that is decent depreciation, they are finding a following. With heated screen, 360 cameras, auto parking, heated wheel, heated seats it's a loaded, fun drive
But my head was turned by the last hot hatch (see other thread) no slight on the e, more on me TBF
Love the new car, way more aggressive, quicker, involving, harder to drive and daft money but YOLO
Rear tyres ã208 Front tyres ã250 Rear wiper ã7.50 Front wipers £20 First MOT £45 Second MOT £45
Depreciation £12k
