Honda e
Commuted in this morning in pissing rain and cold. Car pre warmed, stop start into the city on one pedal, this is the car's sweet spot 100%. Way better than an ICE for me, just easy, comfy, quiet.
I reckon 50% of the cars on the road could be an e, I was looking around, lots of driver only, all chugging through traffic. I would have taken the S2 if sunny mind haha

I've converted my old bicycle for my 10.5 mile commute.
Bike: 42 mins
Public Transport (Tube): 65 mins
Car: 65 Mins
Obviously weather like yesterday and today makes it a lot less fun, combined with shite drivers and potholes, but get more people on bikes and fewer in cars and things will be much better for everyone.
Less congestion, fewer potholes, healthier people.
Electric bicycles are the actual answer to commuting in cities, not cars that are 1/5th full of people.

I used to commute on a bike. I was an outlier.
In weather like today you will never convince people to do it year round in the UK.
I might do it in summer but more likely to get the motorbike out these days. I used my bike about 10 times last year and that was mostly in the woods on MTB, no twat cabbies trying to kill me there
Blind spots being the problem in the city from larger vehicles- bad enough on the motorway too, whilst lorry drivers are executing stuff on laptops and watching telly as they chunter along. Many an incident involve white van man, or an HGV side swipe. Squashed cyclists are probably quite common in London.
I guess in the City we long to become like the Chinese. You should see the Bike lanes in Wigan everywhere. And - no one uses them! They're a lazy lot Wiganers. The cycle to work scheme doesn't cut it here in the rainy north west. Wigan is famous for it's bad weather thanks to the Pennines and westerly low pressure shite. Would take too long for me to get to Swinton, 2 hours probably on my MTB.

There are cycle lanes all over rainy Nottz
It doesn't change the weather. Or people using cars.
5.5 miles, 29 mins each way apparently and terrible mileage, maybe 48p electric
Beats the god awful bus, would need a mars if I cycled in. And to change and dry my gear. Having commuted on cycle and motor bike for many years i'd only do it in winter if the other option was bus. 29 mins of comfort and wake up to money podcast is better to me. 100%
weather still shit tomorrow.
Car tipped over 20k today

I looked at a few 3s when we were hunting for the new family car. They do not age well compared to any other car brand you would consider (I am assuming Dacia is out of the question). It's a subjective opinion but they all looked really tatty
Anyways, if you are down for a BEV now is a good time. The charging concerns are not a biggy to me

Way too quick, to the point you need to use a throttle map to slow it down so your passengers don't throw up
Silly really for a family car and imo the 3 looks very unsettled when pushed (I recall it trying to beat the M3 lap on TG)
Plus potential battery damage and Tesla's can be quite expensive to repair even without that
