The buses here seem less smelly. They use bio gas (microbe farts?). They don't stink unlike diesel.

I dont think electric works for them, for trucks, taxis etc. But a huge proportion of emissions will be from private cars. Albeit the virus has slashed that for now.

I'll be fascinated to see what happens if we manage to beat this thing. It could change vaccination forever but it could also kill the commute and offices which would do for property prices and be good for emissions..

my SIPP is still down a chunk on the year but my ISA is up overall. The former has a lot of property in there so the bet is offices will shrink I guess. And the high st will see a step change drop, already evidence of that

Most modern diseasel buses have some form of Selective Catalyst Reduction on them - all the old stinkers have been phased out.

Some big cities are buying-into e-buses, but they are expensive. Some have proven unreliable, too.

I was pondering the local route, as the mind wanders. We were previously on a loop so easier but anyway on a typical day 10 mins between busses in peak so I reckon there are 6 running at peak, maybe 7 (30 mins in, 30 back) and they do 10-12 miles per hour (city and back). They run 18hrs a day so may only do a few hundred miles a day but only 6hrs charging time, not all busses are needed out of peak as the gap grows

So for city very possibly feasible but also potentially expensive. And rich folk don't use the bus.

Spotted our first e this weekend. It was yellow so my retina is slowly recovering. Looked cool, far more so than anything else I've noticed lately

Tip: If you order the factory-fitted internal lighting pack £500 you get light up 'Honda e' LED blue logos on the front inner door sills. Dead cool.

So don't order the dealer fit £36 'Honda e' stickers to go on the door sills as well Shall remove / flog when I cba.

Yellow is the ONLY colour to have. All other colours are optional extras costing £500 iirc.

ps. no buses are cheap but remove that ICE and carry extra peeps?

my BM had little lights in the doors.. puddle lights?

anyway, i specified mats i think, and the bike rack (i hate putting mucky bikes in any car and they certainly wont fit in this ), the leather is half leather so rubbish really (would be good with a child).. i dont think i will order new though, nothing doing in deals and March new reg and maybe an end to this insufferable lockdown will make life easier (hopefully).. here we are tier 3 and not supposed to leave the area

Travel

Where possible, you should stay local and avoid travelling outside your local area, meaning your village or town, or part of a city. People should continue to travel for reasons such as work, education, medical attention or if they have caring responsibilities.
so not Fife then

Yes, that's why it gets complicated; some have a 'trolleybus' system at bus stops to give them a 'boost' during alighting. Others are looking at those wasteful contactless chargers.

It's basically all extremely inefficient 'greenwash' nonsense, really. Not as utterly daft as hydrogen, where steam reformation, compression, storage, conversion means you might as well just burn the gas in an old-fashioned ICE.

CNG/LNG buses are clean & quiet (more of a chuff than the infernal DI Diesel knock) and appeal on so many levels.

I do suspect that manufacturers are making their current ICE cars look deliberately crap, so they date quickly compared to the cool-looking new-age stuff like e's. (looks wrong without the Grocer's's Apostrophe).

The one notable exception to this rule is the plural form of lowercase letters, which are formed with an apostrophe to prevent misreading:
(incorrect) Don’t forget to dot all your is.
(correct) Don’t forget to dot all your i’s.

@Nick Graves so I think you are right to put in the apostrophe as the 'e' is lowercase. Albeit a bigger font
