Furry nuff.. i’ve not driven many but i find big, heavy cars a pain to drive. The BM offsets its lard arse with grunt but ultimately you still notice it.. or i do.

Requirements at odds with most modern cars i know. Bikes didnt get heavier did they?

i think the E is c1400kg so lightish for an EV but could be too small for us. The dorris wanted me to put the deposit down which is a stepford forward but in the end i baulked as i worry about the size... and her treating it like shit too if i am totally honest

The kumshot claims c1400kg but i would be astounded if that were true, it feels like 1800kg min, the engine is gutless though so maybe just accenta’s it (thats a kumtwat trim level).. it also revs like it is gonna explode. I wish it would.

i’m eager to try the Honda anyway and see it in the flesh.. that leaf is sooo dull.

The MDMA is pretty much the size of any other new B segment. It ought to be roomier with none of that infernal combustion crap in the nose. Boot might be too small for you with its za-buton engin and I cannot foresee 'magic seats' which made the Jizz very useful. Bearing in mind they are sized like a truncated EP Civic...

Then again, most SUVs seem to be rather tiny inside for their colossal exteriors and its only their high, glassy roofs that make them feel big.

Given the miserable state of the roads round here these days, I shall likely continue to use the Leg End for as long as I can. Or walk...

The Tesla monthly sales are not really a true/fair figure. Don't forget that the Model 3 has been "for sale" since 2016, so they are still filling back orders from then.

Having said that, it will probably do very well in Europe until the trad makers (particularly VW) offer alternatives.

I'll get a leccy car to replace my Golf when it's a lot more worn out, probably at least 10 years.

true its been on sale a while but i doubt that many folk ordered one years ago. i think its a unique proposition at the moment, much quicker and more advanced than a leaf, strong range etc

they quote short lead times on them currently. this is teslas 4th electric car, VW have made lots of cars but their fully electric car will be their first, same for this Honda where BMW have had one knocking about for a bit.. i dont think many mainstream cars will be being built ICE in 5 years

10 years - there are still a lot of areas where EVs are a PIA. For example, if you need to shoot up North for an hour's meeting, you don't want to piss about for an hour on the way back looking for a vacant charger.

As for me popping up to Gaydon in an e, forgeddaboutit. And I'd look ridiculous clambering out of it, to boot.

i agree they definitely struggle to meet some professional requirements i dont have but equally i seem to struggle to get much above 30mph average during the working day unless i get lucky (not like that alas) on the motorway..

i managed 68mph avg to legoland last summer but it's only 105 miles each way so a lot of the higher range stuff could do that return journey on a single charge, 210 miles and 3hrs of driving is also more than enough for me with an Audi TDi inserted up my posterior, driver doing their makeup and trimming their beard ..

the MDMACivic (i bet a few EP3s have been called that) might not suit for such use though

I wonder what wheels are in motion to start taxing the electicity which is used for the road.... current fuel duty is 57.95p per litre, so an average joe in his mondeo doing 10k pa will be paying around £600 per year plus road tax

loss of this renevue will put a big hole in someones budget.....

I do like it funky little town car and i think it shouldnt be no bigger than a a new Renault Twingo they are quite narrow but still quite tall

electric will be the way to go for short commutes and around towns and citys as everything else will get Charged/Taxed ( not plugged in charged )

best thing it will be RWD '' will get a 152bhp motor on its rear axle '' i bet it will be nippy
