Decent early cars seem to go from 20-25k and not depreciate much, if at all, from there.
Neil, you would get a very, very nice (and not that early) car for

Craig's NSX looks nice (I was reading about it last night) but I would prefer an NSX to be red, the newer metallic blue or perhaps, black.

I hope you get there one day Neil - it wook me at least 2 years from the point I decided that was what I wanted.

As and when, if I can be of any help or assistance, don't hestitate to shout.

My problem with an NSX is they don't look great as supercars go. I get the car, that is, I understand what it's about and would have one (funds allowing) but purely as a driving machine.

I reckon you could drive past 95% of the population in an NSX and they wouldn't even take a second look, the other 5% would look again they would be the petrol heads who know what an NSX is.

On the flip side, drive past people in a F430 however, and 95% would most definitely take a second and probably a third look. Hell, the S gets a lot of second looks and it's a long way from a supercar. I don't want to offend anyone with an NSX just my point of view on the aesthetics, as I do believe cars are supposed to look good as well and I don't think the NSX fills this part of the supercar criteria, for me anyways

It's only 160mm wider than an S2000 (1910 vs 1750) figures from Wiki. It's 305mm longer (4425 vs 4120). so not much bigger all in.

It'll fit in my garage.
1810 (with the ears folded in either case).

Maybe Wiki's internet-detractors are right and everything there is shit after all!

Mind you, it's from "Togichi" according to the brochure, so maybe Honda is full of shit, too.

...More of a concern is why are we all talking about a Honda from 20 years ago! Honda don't have anything of any merit since the S2000, which is now past it's sell by date.

Where is the new S2000, the new Prelude and the new NSX? Honda seems to have retrenched to the banality of the new Accord (yawn) the CRV is ok and although I like the new Civic, the Type R isn't good enough.

So come on Honda, sort out the F1 car and get on with some new exciting cars.........................
Because so far, it's not proved possible.

Almost every car launched since the early 00s has been a big, fat, ugly disappointment.

I believe that's why the NSX replacement is a GT5000 with SH-AWD and direct replacement is simply not possible/worthwhile.

If they'd subtly updated the slow-selling original, all the trendies would have bleated about it and not bought it.

Same with the S2000; it's still a better car than its direct rivals, yet is considered dated. Cynical crapping-down has allowed the Boxster to appear updated by recycling 911 bits, which must please Porsche and displease owners of last year's model intensely.

I disagree with that.

I think it still looks gorgeous, even by today's standards.

Horses for courses.

To me, the fact that the car doesn't scream 'LOOK AT ME!!' like a 'red' car, for example, is part if the appeal. And as you rightly say, people who know their cars, at least respect the NSX.

I was driving home the other evening along the M23, cruising along at a sensible-ish speed.

A guy on a sports bike came past at speed, slowed down, let me past again, then slowly overtook me again, once alongside, he matched my speed, looked over and gave me a big 'thumbs-up'.

How often would that happen if you were driving a 911?

It has an amazing development history, with Senna and Honda have sparred no expense. Did they ever get their investment costs back?
I read somewhere that Honda lost money on every NSX it sold.......
