i find some dawdlers just have a set speed of 45.. they do this through the nice little villages and on the empty nsl

for me that demonstrates the oblivious nature of their driving

a village with horses, dogs, kids, grannies is not the same as an nsl

i'm no angel, but niether do i pull these dimwits over, flash my lights or rant and rave, i leave them to do as they see fit.. until they stick their main beam on

basically it boils down to spite as gad alluded, they are unhappy with their miserable existence and want to take it out on anyone and everyone at every chance they get

weapons

I am definitely becoming grumpier when driving. I know I have increased the amount of times that I mouth to people 'nice f**king indicating' on roundabouts (normally mini r/abouts) where I have had to come to a complete stop because they failed to indicate they weren't going to cross my path and therefore I could have continued on my merry way.
But surely they have priority, why should they signal? I seem to remember that those of us that passed our test when Pontius was a river pilot were taught that we should signal when leaving the roundabout. But I have been known to be wrong.
Exactly that reason - they should signal their exit off the roundabout. So say I'm going straight on and they are coming from my right but turning left, therefore not crossing my path, they should indicate their intention. One of my questions on my driving test was what are roundabouts for and the answer is to keep the traffic flowing. By not indicating you are doing exactly the opposite and causing the traffic to come to a standstill.

Mock The Week last week:

"Casual racism..it's like indicating on roundabouts - it's a generational thing"

no need.the drivers are usually not far from the graves anyway.
Nah, no-one tailgates me for long; first roundabout or bend taken without slowing sees them drop back with their knob between their legs...
Where are their knobs before then? I can only assume that these tail-gating knob-wavers are driving automatics..

They're quite a breed, aren't they?

They see it as a heroic pursuit - "I am such a driving legend that not even this crapmobile can limit me".

They are entirely wrong of course - and therefore it is entirely likely that their aspiration is indeed a big shiny thing that doesn't really go round corners, drinks like a fish, isn't really taken off road and although it's twice the size of a Fiesta, has less room in the back and fewer seats.

I suspect that making the Spurt even less than the package it ought to be by making it a coupe would be their ultimate wet dream.

Every single day without fail, I am stuck behind a car doing 40 in a 60. This is the cause of my frustration. I usually come up behind people doing 50. However I understand that as being acceptable, and annoyance is my own problem.

Lorry doing 40 fair enough, it's their speed limit.

Transit vans doing 50, ditto.

But cars at 40. They should not be on the road.
