Thanks you guys for all the help!

I might do a DIY when I'm done. I don't think there's one here yet.

problem, sorry to bring a dead thread back to life.

i have a ap1 (2002) and i have ap2 headlights + ap2 ballasts + ap2 igniters.

i plugged them up to my car's original harness and i turn my lights on. they power up and get bright for a minute or two and then shut off (while the lights are still switched on)

i then try to turn the hid's on again and they power up and shut off immediately again.

can anyone help? people said it was plug and play and it doesn't seem to be the case in my situation. . . .

I had no problem with mine ever since i did my swap a week ago.

I have my Ap2 headlights, ballats with the pig tails and igniters. Maybe you need to buy the ballats pig tails as well. It will be a plug and play.

Another thing is that i bought everything brand new not second hand so if you bought it used is probably not working proper.

i have the same issue with my AP1(2002) headlights. Problem solved after I put in a heavy duty HID harness. You can get one from http://www.theretrofitsource.com/
or you can make your own.
