Former S2000 owner looking for Help
Have you considered filing a complaint with the better business bureau? My guess is that your dealer is a member?
You may also want to get a hold of the person a level above the regional rep.
Finally, if you have any friends who are lawyers (or are willing to pay $250 or so) I'd recommend a carefully worded letter sent to the dealer, the north american president and the regional rep. Letters with the apropriate legal verbage can get a lot done because it says to the recipient that I am willing and able to sue you and I can't be bullied. We all know it will be cheaper to just fix the problem than to deal with a law suit.
I've done this a couple of times before with excellent results.

Buy a HONDA..........problem solved.
Trust me the local Infiniti Service center is much better than Flow Honda.
As far as cars go, I have had the most luck with my wife 4Runner. It is now 5 years old, has nearly 100k miles and other than replace the tires, we had a loose belt on it one time. That is the only single problem for that car.
I did have several issues with my '01 S2000 but Flow Honda did a decent job of fixing it but they never gave out loaners. They would just have some one taxi you to where you needed to go but you had to arrange return plans.
I really think it is more about the local service center than the car. If Mazda would have fixed my RX-8 the first time, I would have nothing but good things to say about Mazda.
It took Flow Honda two tries to diagnosis an electrical problem I had on my S. I emphasized the 2nd time that I wanted it fixed correctly and they did it.

Honda doesnt make a car that meets my needs....
A reliable car that starts everyday, so you can go to work, and pick up your son from daycare in a timely and cost efficient manner.
I've heard Hondas are pretty reliable.
If he has an RX8 and is looking at getting into a G35, I think his needs are a fun sporty car that has 4 seats and is reliable. Honda definately has the reliable part down, but not so much a fun sporty vehicle with 4 seats.
Have you thought about a Lexus IS300 or IS350? 4 doors but are pretty sport nontheless, probably same price range as a G35, and should definately be reliable. Having said that, I think I'd still take the G35, but I don't have a son that I need to strap into a car seat.

I am a car guy. I dont stick to any one company. Honda's are very reliable. The reason I bought the S2000 is because it was a real roadster with decent HP with a lot of reliability.
The G35 has rear seats.
I usually do not pick up my son from Daycare as I am all over the triad and usually work later. My sons daycare is about 1/4 of a mile from where my wife works plus the 4Runner is much roomier.
Tell me a Honda that competes with the G35 with back seats?
Unfortunately, Acura doesn't have anything that I care for at this point.
