Thanks for commiserating, wicky. Honestly, I don't know whether it's better to have someone else to blame or not. I just wish I didn't make a whole weekend out of stupidity rather than just a single act.

Some people just should not be let near tools.

 

Geez Charlie that sounds like one of my stories! Sorry to hear about your bad luck but when I first read it I thought you meant the front wheel fell off Neb! You definately get an A for trying anyways. It's the effort that counts.

I hear ya on that one..... sometimes it takes several days of staying in bed to work out your karma, i think.....

 

When you experience this kind of stupidity, and you realize immediately that it's your own fault, you just have to find a way to deal with it. I could cut my thumbs off and make it impossible for me to tackle any kind of repair, or just get through it.

Pocketbookwisespeaking, this f**k up will be quite painful.

It was really a weekend in contrast. It was actually a beautiful day out here, and my wife was away a good part of the day and I had the kids. We were outdoors the entire afternoon. So, besides dumping the wheel on the Volvo, it was a great day!!! Go figure!
