My Mom was the same way if someone put cottage cheese in lasagna. My Aunt on the unitalian side of the family used to do that and one time for dinner she made 1 meatball for each person, my Mom never got over thatLOL! She said god forbid somebody drops by unexpectedly you wouldn't have anything to give them.

I just made a Re-Creation of a yummy sammich I had once in the Bar @ The Yard House
Sounds kinda weird but it works together

In the form of a Grill Cheese only its Turkey, Cheddar & Jalapeno's

They use a yummy bread which I don't have but still good.

 

Definately a guinea,guinea,wop,wop thread. When my uncle, who is Italian,was little he used to run around the house singing guinea,guinea,wop,wop and my grandmother would chase him around with the wooden spoon yelling at him.

 

HMMMM I wouldn't think that the turkey would go well in a grilled cheese I'll have to try that.

 

Yup, I can't eat lasagna with cottage cheese or ricotta in it, blasphemous !

We really do seem to have similar tastes in Italian food - Dago, Guinea, WOP thread , lol.

 

Will be eating a frozen pizza with cauliflower crust tonight, it would not normally be my first choice but I was surprised that it tastes relatively close to other frozen pizzas we have had. Being a pizza snob I don't normally eat this stuff but it has been a long week and we need something quick tonight - pizza and greek salad.

This is how I like to eat pizza at home, it is a bit of work but it is the best, as close as you can get to wood oven gourmet pizza

 

I got a bit hungry and needed a snack, I grabbed a chunk of parmigiano reggiano cheese and some crackers.
