I just ate...
In an earlier post the name Crotonese cheese came up. I was at our local Italian deli today and picked up a chunk of it. Just snacking on it right now, good cheese, it is a pecorino , so it is made with goats milk.
Meatball and Provolone pizza.
We also went off-script and tried a small jalapeño, pineapple, and pancetta pie (it was on their specialty menu). I have the right to be wrong about pineapple: it was a good combo.

Despite being a pizza purist, I like pineapple on my pizza. I don't know how I came up with the combo, but I like pineapple and fresh mushroom pizza.
On first pass, that didn’t strike me as good, but then I realized it’d probably be excellent with either Vermentino or perhaps a wine from the Niagara Peninsula.
I like Niagara wines, yes. I should check into Vermentino.
