I used to do this stuff all of the time. Are you trying to raise the subs up and just have it slope down from the the mounting rings down to the rest of the enclosure? If so that's pretty easy - just stretch some old white tshirt mat'l or thin sweatshirt mat'l from the rings and staple to the sides of the enclosure. Use some bondo on the fabric, sand, and you're done. If you're trying to mold the enclosure into the car, it's alot more difficult and messy.

If you're doing a trunk well box, you don't really need to build a fiberglass box. It can be made out of wood and still be able to put a safety top on the box... Was there a specific reason why you wanted glass?
Well the top face of the well box would be wood with a fiberglass bottom. If you wanted to paint the top of the box, all you would have to do is bondo the face of the box, sand, primer, and paint. Either way, I'll give you a hand sometime. And if anyone else in interested in the same mod, maybe we could get a group together. Fiberglass is a time comsuming job and there is a lot of downtime when working with it. The one good thing about fiberglass in the well is that you can get more internal volume for the sub itself because it conforms to the curves. The downside of the fiberglass enclosures in these cars is that you can't really get a high powered sub because of how the fiberglass is mated to the wood face. If you were to build a wooden enclosure that conformed to the curves as well as wood can, you would be able to get a higher powered sub with a relatively small internal volume needed. Just a few things to kick around.
