I've had enough

After thinking about it for half a second, since this IS a free and open forum, you can condone anything you'd like. All I ask is that you think about what you say, and maybe put a disclaimer so that hopefully other people reading may realize that what you think is "safe or unsafe" only applies to you and the risks you're willing to take.
To anyone out there who is unsure of whether crossing the double yellow lines is safe or unsafe, please take what Scorpion says with the understanding that he may be a professional stuntman, likes to skydive with no backup chute, enjoys running naked through a mile of thistles and brambles, practices unsafe sex in the remote villages of sub-saharan Africa, and eats uncooked chicken that has been sitting outside for 12 hours.

The point I was trying to make is that people will do things from the above list and not think twice about it. But when someone does something that they think is "too much" then they throw a fit.
And Dave-ROR, you are confusing punishment with the actions that warrent the punishment. In this case, speeding and crossing the yellow lines are the crimes. The punishment is differant, but both are still crimes. Plain and simple.
And yes I am a professional stuntman. I travel all over the world getting shot at, dodging mortar rounds and bad cases of the runs. If this doesn't qualify me for man of the year I don't know what does

"So basically, using your logic, any two crimes are equal. So if someone murders someone you love and someone who rolls through a stop sign at 2 mph and doesn't hit anyone or anything have just commited crimes that are just as serious as the other, and both deserve the same amount of leeway during discussions. In other words, one can not say that murder is bad if they have ever rolled through a stop sign."
That is basically what you are saying, and the point is the same. Different crimes do not have the same level of severity and you can't really say that someone who speeds is not allowed to mention that you shouldn't cross the double yellow line on a road.
Whatever, you'll believe what you want and if that has this great of an effect, then do what you want. You clearly aren't going to leave, or you would have never read this thread after your initial post.

Gee I'm sorry. Let me rephrase:

I'm still planning on being on the boards, that'll probably never change. But by not going to these types of events I can avoid the situations that piss me off the most. Sure there will still be postes about it, but I won't feel obligated to read them because I wasn't there.
