Supermeet Suggestion Thread
No offense but if it were the Florida-Georgia Supermeet we may have had it mot central to you but it wasn't. Everyone was welcome and as others have posted, people came from all over the south east to join the fun.
The way I see it is if you want it near you, set it up yourself. The past 2 supermeets were in south florida which is only central if we had a cuban chapter. Everyone was saying for months "we need to have a supermeet ." Yet NO ONE wanted to organize it. The Tampa chapter decided if no one else wanted to do it that we would. So that's why it was located near tampa.
I see it as a compliment that the biggest complaint was the location. There is a 30 mile distance difference between the location and Miami and the location and Jacksonville. That's pretty damn central. But I guess we cant please everyone.

..I heard were that the photo shoot seemed a little confused and that the NSX and Elise were nice they should have been on the side and not front and center. Several comments that, "this was an S2000 meet and how about I put my Excursion up front!"
go figure .... I could say so many things but i'd rather just keep it for myself ..

It was a good time no matter where it was. Anyone is welcome to step up and host a Supermeet, it was just the Tampa crew that did it. They set it up in Plant City to be more neutral. It was also a great place.

Again, no offense to anyone, but if a group lives in Orlando and can't make it to Plant City, they can't be that interested in coming. Come on. exit 22 is what, 30 minutes or so from the Disney area? An hour give or take if you're more east or north?

.. the Elise and NSX at the ends would have made more sence since it was an S2K meet, sorry for any inconvenience as I was not directing traffic

Not hard feelings though, in the end still I had a great time with my south FL crew.
Shame though.

Oscar, We just wanted to get a pic of all the people in front of the cars, and your NSX was in the right spot with light. No harm or offense was meant dude. But it was pretty funny when the most exotic car there get's moved...
I thought that the heckling was in pure fun, and no harm was meant. Sorry if your feelings got hurt.
You are always more than welcome to come to any S2K meet. Anytime. In any car.

I agre with you but the shot was not originally intended for a big group but rather for 6 cars, that's why the cars parked on that angle. Soon after everyone started joining in and it became the big group shot. I would have made the group form an arch and sort out the cars by color, I think that would have been pretty interesting. the Elise and NSX at the ends would have made more sence since it was an S2K meet, sorry for any inconvenience as I was not directing traffic

And only then did people start coming thinking this was the group shot. I even remember thinking - "An S2000 with a german plate on the front of his car, shouldn't he be driving a BMW or something?"

Overall it was a great get-together. While the drive was long and we stopped at 5-6 gas stations that are still not in my online statement (
) it was worth while and I even got a Berk test pipe out of it. (yes, I am the lucky winner.)Maybe next year we can have it elsewhere and change it up a bit. I think Orlando would definitely be fun. Maybe some kind of S2K-Islands of Adventure combo.
