Chris, is your Xbox one with HDMI?
I forgot to get back to you on that PM.

I thought that the "black" xbox just came with the HDMI cable?

yes it has hdmi and a 120gb hard drive... it'd be nice if you could copy the game from the disc to the drive... make for much faster access...

i have no idea wth i'd do with 120gb hard drive otherwise... especially since i can't even figure out how to copy files over to it. Apparently I NEED windows to do that.
or linux from what i've read

You should try Chantix, Chris... Almost no bitchy-ness or cravings. Made quitting smoking one of the easiest things I have ever done. Seriously!

i don't know about that. i don't like drugs that mess with your brain chemistry and have side effects like "internal organ liquification" and "sudden onset death"

I'm five days through now, another five should clear me out 100% of physical nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

It's when multiplayer comes into the picture that there is a huge problem. Now you're connecting to 7 other people (in an 8 person race) that everyone has to "download" your image, plus the processing power to render that image as the car makes every minute change could be taxing compared to the basic shapes they give you.
Yup. It's much less painful when the car's paint is defined by vectors and size, rather than a specific image. Whereas images may take like 100kb, the vector defined ones probably take less than 100 bytes.

but now they're allowing 1000 layers, gradients on every layer, with whatever shapes and you're telling me that the most complex of these are smaller than a JPG or GIF or whatever, scaled down and saved down in quality (which any web server/forum software has the capability to do)?
1000 layers still take less storage space than a single image. You know how we can design all these fancy Flash animations in just a few megabytes, but if you took a physical video camera and recorded that animation, it would be hundreds of megabytes?

It's kind of like that.
