In 02 i was 19yrs old and had never seen an s2000 before in my life. I was working at an interior shop and had a NFR come in for a vandalized convertible top. I finnished putting the top on it and as i was pulling it around i stopped in front of the windows and looked at myself with the top down. All i could think was DAMN i look good in this thing, then i did what was most forbidden at my job. I had to drive it... I pulled out onto the road and ripped 9k shift after 9k shift all the way to 130ish. All i could think was DAMN i have to get me one of these. I was finally able to buy one in 04. Im ready to sell it now and get a new one. Im pretty sure ill always own one.

this is all so classic

i wasn't even in the market for a car... i had always daydreamed about the S, but knew it was too impractical/expensive/etc to drive daily...

so, i go to the honda dealership to have maintenance stuff done to my 2006 civic Si, and there's an '04 S2000 on the lot. knowing that i had a bit of time to kill, the salesman offered me a ride.

i'd thought the Si was pretty hardcore with it's 8k rpm redline... but this thing was friggin' phenomenal!

long story short... a few weeks later, i no longer drove a Civic

(oh, and my insurance is cheaper on the S than the Si )
explain!!!!!! lol

your insurance was less?!?!?! how?!

This all sounds oh so familiar...

I used to own a Del Sol SiR with auto box and wanted the S as soon as it came out.

A couple of years passed before I finally thought, ah well, I might as well try one out. OMG what an experience! The test drive sold it to me and i've never looked back since. It just gets better and better.

This car is just so much fun on the country roads. I got in the Del Sol 6 months later before I sold it which handled like a piece of furniture in comparison.

Bring on next summer...
