Making the switch from Subaru..
Hey guys! I have been a loyal subaru owner for the past 6 years of my life and loved every bit of it, I was a member of nasioc as well (seen a few s2k owners on there). I first owned a 2007 obp wrx then sold that while I was in school and bought a 2006 impreza 2.5i which is what I have now. I got the car for %7,000 completely stock, although it did have a rebuilt title which I don't mind, and have since modified it cleanly like my wrx was minus the power. I actually saw an s2000 at school a few weeks ago and fell in love! That's why I want to switch from everything I know about the boxer engine and all wheel drive to pretty much the complete opposite.
Here is my for sale post of my car..

Here is what I'm looking to get..

Let me know what you guys think about both my car and the s2000 I'm thinking of getting. Is the mileage too high? Should I be worried about the recon title?
I plan on doing suspension mods first (coilover/sway bars) then some exhaust/power mods? I've read around but still am a complete newb when it comes to mods. It would be really helpful if you could suggest come brands of exhaust that sound good, but please nothing rice I like really clean looking/sounding cars.
Sorry for the long introduction. I hope to hear from you guys!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Friendly community here!
But I don't know this subaru that I have right now has a rebuilt title and it was my first car that wasn't a clean title and I never had a single problem with it so I might just pick that s2k up. Even talked him into 9500 for an ap2.. I feel like that is a steal with 97k miles?
Can anyone tell me the exact name of the color of the s2000 I'm trying to get? In my original post. And what's the best place to get aftermarket parts (front lip, wheels, exhaust, ect)? On here? Craigslist maybe?
Thanks again everyone!

9500 does seem like a good deal for an ap2. S2k's are fine going over 100K if they have been taken care of. That ap2 looks like silverstone. There are alot of sponsors on this board that you can get parts from.
I made the switch from a Evo MR and it was the best choice!!!!
I work on a built 04 STI frequently, so i get to drive it alot. And when i do, i feel like im in an army vehicle. Its just a totally different feeeling than the nimble and quick s2000.
I think you will be very very pleased and the top down aspect just makes the deal that much sweeter. Its like a motorcycle sensation in a sports car. I love it.
Keep up the hunt and welcome.
